A photo of Kobe Baptist Church.

Day 15 - 11/01/1998: Late for Church: We decided to catch the Hankyu train, which although I had a pass for JR the Hankyu train was more convenient and cheaper (for Ritsuko, who wasn't eligible for the JR pass on this trip). We went to central Kobe, along the way we could see the damage in buildings from the "Great Hanshin Earthquake"1 of 1995. There was clearing and construction going on everywhere.

At Kobe central station we got a guide map for the area around central Kobe. We also bought a ticket for a circuit tram (well it looks like a tram and had two carriages, but it went on the road a had a diesel motor).

The first place we went to was Kobe Baptist church, however the church had just finished when we got there, but we had a talk to some of the people there. The church can been seen in the photo above.
