A photo of Hankyu Central Station.

Hanyu Central Station: After lunch we decided to go into Osaka to have a look around. However we gave up after finding that every exit from the underground shopping labyrinth we came to took us to somewhere on the surface that wasn't so pedestrian friendly. So the only place we could be was underground, but the problem was every passage had about 10,000 other people in it!

We eventually found our way back to Hankyu Central Station and had a look at the the Hankyu department above it. It wasn't so crowded as the underground shopping labyrinth.

We gave up with Osaka very quickly, the air was not very clean and Ritsuko doesn't like hearing Osaka-ben (the dialect spoken there) because it sounds too rough to her.1 We went back to Ritsuko's aunty's via the Hankyu train. The Hankyu trains are owned by the department store they are cheaper and more convent to get around the cities of Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto than the JR lines. What a strategy build the whole rail network with the central station at your department store and charge less than the other railway company.

The photo above shows the Hankyu central station. In reality it looks better it has very 1920s look to it and so do the trains (No I am not saying everything is old it just 1920s style).
