Day 16 - 12/01/1998: If you blink, you'll miss it: We left from Ritsuko's aunty's apartment and caught the train to the Shinkansen, I would have liked to stay a day or two more at Osaka because I didn't see much of Osaka and we could have easily gone to Kyoto from Osaka and it would have been good to see more of Kyoto too.
At Osaka station I managed to see an elusive (because there is only few in comparison to most other series)1 500 series Shinkansen which is in the above photo. I got a much better photo of a 500 series along side a 100 series on my second trip so I'll put that up in my second trip photo diary.
We got on the 8:07 (note same time as two days ago) Shinkansen to Hakata. Since it was a Monday morning Shinkansen it was pretty crowded with people who go to work in another city for the week and don't come back until the weekend!
